In your role as a Regulatory Compliance Engineer with MaxLite, you will have the opportunity to understand the practical application of product safety standards and guide multiple certification projects at a time!

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating safety certification, FCC certification and other relevant certification on all MaxLite US-based engineering/product development projects
  • Overseeing projects from pre-testing to submittal to final report review and certification
  • Coordinating with engineering and product development team to develop, analyze and establish the requirements, specifications, procedures and other engineering documents necessary to obtain product listing through UL and government regulating agencies
  • Collaborating with design engineering team to ensure that product designs are conforming to appropriate UL standards
  • Assisting Caldwell Laboratories with test work and report writing
  • Assisting operations with SKD and full assembly projects to ensure compliance to certification requirements on production line
  • Assisting Quality Control group with QC evaluation/forensics on reported issues
  • Working with QC group with RGA issues upon request
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of relevant safety, emissions and photometric requirements for product lines
  • Acting as liaison to UL standards committees, NEMA committees, DLC and other relevant standards related organizations as directed by VP of engineering

Required Qualifcations:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering
  • Lighting industry experience strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UL lighting standards or related electrical devices
  • 5 -8 years' experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented with good communication, organization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to commit to and work under deadlines while working independently or in a team environment

As a Lab Technician within MaxLite, you will have the opportunity to directly impact our lighting business segment success through testing of products as well as gain a diversified experience within a leading LED lighting manufacturer!

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Adhering to NVLAP ISO/IEC 17025 accredited test procedure
  • Setting up diagnostics and troubleshooting, testing, calibrating, and creating LM-79 reports
  • Photographing luminaries, uploading images to computer, and incorporating into photometric reports
  • Performing sphere, spectrometer, goniophotometer, colorimeters, and in-situ tests per IESNA and UL standard
  • Performing monthly validation of Type C goniophotometer and sphere
  • Collecting, graphing, and verifying test results between sphere and gonio within tolerance
  • Ensuring equipment is calibrated annually
  • Maintaining files, standards and laboratory procedures, and improving database for photometric lab
  • Conducting weekly 5S audit and generating ambient temperature charts
  • Performing other miscellaneous duties as required

Required Qualifcations:
  • Minimum 2 year degree in electrical engineering technology or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years' experience working in a lab environment
  • Experience with LED lighting products and related test equipment
  • Understanding of photometric, colorimetric, and spectrometry
  • Knowledge of Type C goniophotometer systems, operation, and maintenance
  • Ability to plan a task, follow test procedure to perform the test, and create a test report.
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Code
  • Experience with industrial control circuits - control relays, transformers, fuses, disconnect switches, multi-meters, etc.
  • Photometric or energy star testing experience a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
