Joliet Junior College:
MaxLite LED Edge Lit Flat Panels were installed in the newly constructed classrooms of Joliet Junior College, in Joliet, Illinois. The 634 LED Flat Panels installed provide the college with a minimum of 30 percent savings in energy usage.

Mooseheart Child City and School Campus:
MaxLite’s energy-efficient T8 Fluorescent Fixtures were installed throughout more than 30 classrooms of 1,000-acre campus of Mooseheart Child City and School Campus, located just outside of Chicago.

St. John Bosco:
St. John Bosco Catholic School replaced more than 300 T8 tri-tube fluorescent lighting fixtures with 224 Edge Lit LED Flat Panels throughout the campus in Phoenix, Arizona.

Southwest High School:
A high school in the southwest United States installed energy-efficient LED Flat Panels throughout the hallways and classrooms of the campus.

Cherokee Elementary School:
When the school district discovered that their Special Education students in the Cherokee Elementary School in Scottsdale, Arizona may be distracted by the disturbing flickering and buzzing sounds of the fluorescent lighting in its existing classrooms, the school turned to MaxLite’s for the consistent, quiet lighting of new LED fixtures. Working with Centennial Contractors who replaced 69 2’x4’ fluorescent fixtures with 60 LED fixtures, MaxLite supplied 2’x2’ Direct Lit LED Flat Panels that were installed in four special education classrooms.

-- “Apparently Special Ed. Children, especially those in the autistic spectrum, are often bothered by the continuous flicker and buzzing of the fluorescent fixtures so school officials decided to replace them with LED fixtures,” explained Charlie Bowers, Project Manager for Centennial Contractors. “This retrofit project was a pilot program for the school and has been very well received by the faculty and the district.”

LED Outdoor Fixtures:

Gymnasium

The University of Alabama Practice Gym:
Originally lit by 400-watt metal halide lamps, the University of Alabama Practice Gym was replaced with 200-watt HighMax® Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL), as well as MaxLite’s HighMax acrylic fixtures, for an immediate savings of half of the University’s lighting bill.

Mooseheart Child City and School Campus:
MaxLite HighMax® Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) were installed in the gymnasium of Mooseheart Child City and School Campus, located just outside of Chicago, as energy-efficient replacements for the existing high wattage metal halide and incandescent fixtures.

--“We are extremely happy with the quality of the new lighting by MaxLite,” explained Keith Strutz, Director of Facilities for Mooseheart Child City and School. “The lighting has been greatly improved and we have reduced energy consumption significantly with MaxLite’s energy efficient luminaires. The dramatic reflection from the new lighting on our Fieldhouse gym floor is reminiscent of The United Arena’s floor where the Chicago Bulls play.”

Library

Benjamin Franklin Library:
MaxLite's Edge Lit LED Flat Panels, in 1'x4' (40), 2'x2' (56) and 2'x4' (225) sizes were installed throughout the library. In the reading labs, meeting and circulation areas, the library's wall and ceiling coves and moldings are now highlighted with 200 dimmable Plug-and-Play LED Lightbars. In the lobby, circulation, meeting and periodical and reference areas, 160 dimmable 14-watt LED 6-inch Recessed Downlight Retrofits deliver pleasant ambient lighting. Throughout the new facility, 150 4-watt MR16s and 30 5-watt PAR20 LED lamps illuminate pictures, bookcases and desktops.
